Your spot for a PCA Chemical Peel in Mount Pleasant, SC.

A technique used to improve the appearance of the skin by chemically removing the top layers of the skin/dead skin cells, revealing new and healthy skin. A PCA SKIN® chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually flake off. This new, regenerated skin is smoother, reducing the appearance of age spots, hyperpigmentation, scars, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Chemical Peels FAQ

  • As skin cells mature, they rise to the top where dead skin cells normally slough off to make room for newer ones. In some cases, dead skin cells build up on the surface of the skin. A chemical peel removes this layer, or even portions of layers underneath, to encourage the formation of new skin tissue that displays fewer imperfections.

Myths & Misconceptions of Chemical Peels

Myth - There are long periods of downtime associated with professional peels.

Truth - Our superficial, blended peels are formulated with anti-inflammatory and hydrating ingredients that create little to no downtime. The exfoliation is at a cellular level and is usually not visible to the naked eye.

Myth - Peels cannot be applied in the summer.

Truth - Peels can be performed safely year round. ALL types of exfoliation make the skin more compromised in the days post-treatment. It is no safer to receive a facial, microdermabrasion, enzyme treatment etc., and go outdoors unprotected for extended periods of time than it is to receive a chemical peel. There are so many benefits of receiving a PCA Peel year round such as maintained skin health, continued progress toward patient goals without the need to start over, maximized daily care results, and a beautiful year-round glow.
